The Bataille Academie of the Danse was created in 1969 by Leona Bataille with a vision to energetically educate dancers through love and discipline. When Dee Dee Johnson took over the studio in 1988 - after studying under Leona since the birth of Bataille - her goal was to continue the integrity and reputation that Leona had built and continue to enhance the studio through educated well-rounded dancers. The fun, diverse and always professional Bataille Academie of the Danse environment is recognized for its commitment to the growth and development of every dancer that walks through the studio doors, viewing each of them simultaniously as both artists and people. With a professional and personable staff of instructors constantly working to improve techniques and teaching styles, each class works towards performance opportunities and is taught around the individual needs of participating students. All are welcome at The Bataille Academie of the Danse if they are hard-working, dedicated and passionate about sharing the joy of dance.
